Your Future Starts Here

Our daughter thrives in the small classroom setting. She responds well to the differentiated instruction and caring staff. Our daughter enjoys going to school and is back to believing that learning is enjoyable.

The University School has educated hundreds of students since 1911. John B. Hench founded our school to prepare young men and women who love to learn and benefit from learning in a nontraditional classroom environment.

We continue to embrace Mr. Hench’s guiding principle for education: Not every student learns the same.

The University School offers students a community of learning where positive relationships and a small teacher to student ratio unlock the academic potential in every student.

I love The University School. The 1:1 instruction makes learning fun again.

Sammy Himmel, 11th grade

My self-esteem was low and learning was difficult. My experience at The University School helped me to believed in myself and excel in the classroom. I am now completing my Doctorate in Stem Cell research at The University of California.
